Job Role: Receptionist & Administrator
Salary: £24,484.00 FTE (pro rata)
Location: Canterbury
Working Pattern
15 guaranteed hours per week, working Monday and Tuesday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (with a one-hour unpaid lunch break).
Additional hours may be available to provide reception cover during periods of annual leave and other planned absences.

We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Receptionist & Administrator to join our Canterbury office on a part-time basis. The Role
As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional experience. You will also support the firms' new enquiries process, ensuring prospective clients receive a prompt, courteous efficient service.
Working closely with colleagues across the office, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of reception while supporting the firm's client onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities
Reception
Welcoming clients, visitors and contractors in a professional and friednly manner
Maintain a tidy, welcoming and well-presented reception area
Answer, screen and transfer incoming telephone calls efficiently
Respond to general enquiries and direct clients to the appropriate department
Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
Book meeting rooms and prepare them for client meetings where required
Provide refreshments for clients and visitors as appropriate
Carry out general administrative tasks to support the office
New Enquiries
Handle new client enquiries by telephone, email and in person
Obtain relevant information from prospective clients accurately and sensitively
Carry out initial conflict checks and client onboarding administration in line with firm procedures
Allocate enquiries accurately using the firm's case management system
Deliver a high standard of client care throughout the enquiry process
Follow up enquires where appropriate and maintain accurate records
General Responsibilities
Work Collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to provide excellent administrative support
Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR, SRA requirements and firm policies
Provide reception cover during periods of annual leave and other planned absences where available
Undertake any other reasonable administrative duties appropriate to the role
Person Specification
Essential
Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house or customer service role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional, approachable and confident manner
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritise workload and remain calm in a busy environment
A positive, flexible and reliable approach to work
Desirable
Previous experience working within a legal or professional services environemnt
Experience handling new client enquiries or customer onboarding
Experience using a case management system
