Criminal Law Paralegal - Leeds
Role: Paralegal
Location: Leeds
Salary: Dependent on Experience
We are seeking a full-time, permanent Criminal Law Paralegal for our busy Leeds office to join our expanding team.
Your Profile
Be currently undertaking, or have completed, legal studies - for example, through the LPC/BPC (or equivalent), SQE preparation, or relevant academic modules/experience
Be able to demonstrate an interest in Criminal Law
Have Police station accreditation
Have strong organisational skills
Have the ability to work under pressure
We would like the ideal candidate to:
Provide the highest level of client care in the management of client matters
Provide support to Fee Earners
Build relationships with internal and external partners
Ensure that files are managed effectively, creating letters or documents on the case management system
Complete public funding applications
Collating and redacting large documents for court bundles where necessary
Liasing with the local authorities, Police and medical professionals to request/receive documents
Liasing with Courts and experts
Our offices are friendly, working entirely paperless with recent significant investment into modern IT to enable you to work proficiently. Our junior members are office-based in order to take advantage of onsite training provided by an established criminal team.
