GTS today secured a suspended prison sentence for a client convicted of two counts of supplying class A drugs at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
MA pleaded guilty to both counts having been covertly recorded supplying cocaine and heroin to undercover officers in east London.
Extensive mitigation was obtained on MA’s behalf, including a psychiatric report which provided important insight into his mental health state at the time of the offending, and thereby significantly reduced his culpability.
At the sentence hearing, the Judge agreed to suspend the prison sentence based on the mitigation put forward, without which MA would have been liable to a starting point of 4.5 years’ imprisonment.
