We are seeking a permanent, full-time Family & Childcare Team Secretary for our newly expanded team in our Birmingham office.
Your Profile
You will preferably:
Have some experience working as a legal secretary or similar with ideally some experience and interest in family & child care law.
Have strong organisational skills.
Have the ability to work under pressure.
Fast and accurate typing skills and spelling.
Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
To type from digital dictation, or otherwise including typing.
To do such electronic filing as may be required.
To deal with telephone calls whether incoming or outgoing from clients, Counsel, experts and other third parties.
To keep appointment diaries for any Fee Earner or any Senior Member of the team.
To deal with clients and others visiting the office as may be appropriate.
To ensure compliance with all office procedures as laid down in the Practice Manual including any variations or amendments.
To deal with CCMS legal aid matters / applications.
To action any fee notes and/or matters pertaining to experts’ invoices.
Any other such matters as required.

The salary for this position is dependent on experience, but starts at the Living Wage.

The role is full-time and after satisfactory training upon our systems, we offer up to 2 days per week remote working.
