Today we acted for a client who had approached us to assist with his appeal as he no longer wanted to instruct his previous lawyers. We instructed Lee Sergent at Garden Court Chambers who successfully argued that the sentence was manifestly excessive on the grounds of totality and the Court reduced it by 12 months.
