MB, represented by Solicitor Jessica Gosling and in-house Counsel Ronnie Manek for an allegation of Aggravated Burglary and Wounding with weapons, in a 5 week trial at Woolwich Crown Court. MB, was charged with 5 others in a pre-planned and sophisticated joint enterprise attack on what appeared to the attackers to be a drugs factory. In fact, the wrong house was targeted. The evidence against MB was strong circumstantial evidence with a number of different threads of evidence against him. MB, gave police a no comment interview and didn’t give evidence at his trial. The jury unanimously acquitted MB with 2 others, leaving convictions for the remaining 3 defendants. If convicted, MB would have received a sentence of imprisonment well into double figures.
