On Saturday 9th May, Partner and Head of Crown Court Advocacy, Ronnie Manek, attended the Maidstone Court Open Day with his family.

The event welcomed more than 1,000 visitors throughout the day and was designed to help families and children better understand the justice system through a number of engaging and interactive activities. Visitors were able to experience mock trials, sentences in courtrooms, meet representatives from the CPS, Police, Prison Service and Witness Care teams, visit cells, and learn more about the many different roles within the criminal justice system.

The event was very popular with children, students and families, with local barristers, judges and court staff volunteering their time to support the day. It was a great example of how events like this help bring the justice system closer to local communities and young people, and we are proud to support them.
