Niina is currently a Pupil Barrister, under the supervision of Katherine Lewis, and is developing a practice in both public law care proceedings and private family law.
Before joining GT Stewart, Niina was a full-time Housing Court Duty Adviser. She provided emergency advice and representation to over 600 defendants in the Midlands. This gave
her confidence in dealing with complex cases and distressed families under time-pressure. Local judges appreciated her calm, measured, and strategic advocacy.
Between 2021-2023, Niina dealt with housing, debt recovery and contractual disputes as a self-employed County Court Advocate, with a 93% success rate. She was regularly re-instructed by clients, who appreciated her personable and pragmatic approach.
In 2023 Niina gained a solid foundation in housing law and legal aid matters as a Housing Advocate and Caseworker at Citizens Advice Shepway; developed further at Community Law Service. As a Legal Assistant at a broad private civil practice, Niina drafted claim forms, particulars of claim, and reviewed complex case documents.
Over the years, Niina has volunteered with StreetLaw, Employment StreetLaw, Advocate, BPP Law Clinic, and Sequentus. She was a Student Representative for her cohort on
the BPTC. Niina is a qualified CMC Civil and Commercial Mediator; and has a strong reputation for offering client-focused, creative solutions.
