GT Stewart Solicitors

Prior to moving to London and joining GT Stewart, Millie worked as Solicitor in Christchurch, New Zealand for two and a half years. She specialised in all areas of family law, whilst also working in Wills, Trusts, and Enduring Powers of Attorney.

Millie originally joined the St Albans office assisting in public family matters as a paralegal. However, she has recently qualified through the SQE and now works as a Solicitor assisting in the following areas:

  • Public Law Proceedings (Care Proceedings and applications for Emergency Protection Orders) representing parents and other parties with an interest in the case, including those invited to intervene;
  • Special Guardianship Order Applications;
  • Placement Order and Adoption Order Applications;
  • Deprivation of Liberty Applications (children);

Education and Qualifications

  • Graduated with Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Canterbury in November 2021.
  • Completed New Zealand Professional Studies via Institute of Professional Legal Studies on 25 March 2022.
  • Admitted to the bar as a Solicitor and Barrister of New Zealand in June 2022.
  • Completed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination in January 2026. 
  • Admitted to the bar as a Solicitor of England and Wales in May 2026.
