Having qualified in the City at a leading magic circle firm before moving to a top ranking US firm, Kate’s legal career started in the corporate and banking worlds where she specialised in international project finance. Kate is now a successful Criminal Defence Solicitor putting her prestigious legal upbringing to great effect in meticulously fighting to obtain the best results for every one of her clients. Kate’s criminal practice encompasses a broad spectrum including serious offences such as attempted murder, GBH with intent, serious sexual offences, drugs and weapons offences. She also regularly represents youths in youth court. Kate also specialises in Extradition Law and regularly appears at Westminster Magistrates’ Court where she represents Requested Persons in their Extradition proceedings and also frequently makes appeals against lower court decisions to the High Court. Kate is both a Criminal Defence court advocate and Criminal Defence litigator. She is member of the Law Society’s Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme. Kate also regularly represents clients at the police station in relation to serious allegations made against them and is a qualified Duty Solicitor.

Notable Cases
- July 2025 – following an Extradition appeal to the High Court, a Belgian arrest warrant against Kate’s client was withdrawn, the UK warrant discharged and the client released from prison.
- August 2025 – following a full Extradition hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, the District Judge refused the Slovakian extradition request on the basis of Article 8 of the Human Rights Act and Kate’s client was released from prison
- Sept 2025 – Kate’s client was acquitted in the Crown Court of three counts of rape.
Notable Experience or Interests Outside of Law
Kate’s interest in both law and psychology recently took her back to university where she completed a masters degree in Forensic Psychology. This led her to recently spend a period of time working at a well-known maximum security men’s psychiatric hospital, where the worlds of law and mental health overlap.
