Ellie is a Paralegal in our Family Team based at our Margate Office. She supports Kristin Sharp in the daily running of her cases. Ellie joined GT Stewart in July 2024. Ellie studied at Northumbria University for 5 years, graduating in July 2024 with a 2:1 MLaw Exempting (LPC) Degree. During Ellie’s time at university, she participated in the Student Law Office for 1 year. This involved providing free legal advice to clients for family law matters. These cases involved advice surrounding domestic abuse and Child Arrangement Orders.

Ellie is experienced in working with those involved in Private Law (Contact & Residence) and Public Law (Care) Children Act Proceedings, as well as those seeking advice surrounding protective orders as survivors of domestic abuse. Ellie now attends the Rising Sun Domestic Abuse drop-in sessions in Canterbury and Herne Bay to support the attendees in accessing legal advice.

Any type of legal process can be daunting for clients, particularly court proceedings that involve their family. Ellie has received consistently positive feedback from clients and professionals in relation to the support she provides.

“Ellie was supportive during the hearing, she knew how to calm me down and how to reassure me throughout. I would like her to attend my future hearings if she is available.”

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you have done. I honestly from my heart can’t thank you, Sadie and Ellie enough. Thank you all for the support, hard work and verything you all have done for me. I really would not be here without everyone’s help.”

“Thank you both so much for everything, it’s appreciated so much.”

“Just wanna say thank you, you guys are so sweet and make me feel so comfortable and I can just be myself, honestly so grateful I found you too thank for all your help.”

“Ellie and Kristin have been amazing with supporting vulnerable clients. They are able to reassure clients straight away and I will be referring future clients to them both.”

“Just want to really quickly give a bit of feedback on Ellie. She is going to be a top class lawyer one day! Her client care is exceptional, she was just brilliant with the client this week, and made my life so incredibly easy. She sent me a really detailed and accurate attendance note of the verbatim XX last night so I could use it for my submissions today. It felt like I was being assisted by a solicitor!
She was read up completely on the case and knew it back to front. Wish I was half as good of a paralegal as she is. I have no doubt you know all this already! But I just thought I’d give feedback, I was so impressed.”

“It was lovely to have Ellie accompany me on Friday, she was a brilliant help and the client felt very comfortable around her.”

Re A – assisted in representing a mother who was survivor of domestic abuse. Who had been a respondent in numerous private law proceedings. Ellie attended the final hearing to support the client in which the outcome was a Child Arrangements Order for no contact with the applicant father and a 3-year Barring Order.
