2019 – 2023 Prior to moving to London I worked as a Senior Criminal Defence Lawyer at Victoria Legal Aid in Melbourne, Australia and Gippsland (in Regional Victoria, Australia). I appeared in a range of jurisdictions for adult and youth clients for both summary and indictable matters in pleas, hearings and bail applications. I also worked regularly as a duty lawyer. I have instructed counsel in County Court and Supreme Court trials and for Court of Appeal matters and Supervision and Detention Orders matters where the State make applications under.

2018-2019 Worked as a solicitor at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office in the Police Advisory Branch in a specialist team providing advice and representation to the Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police regarding disclosure obligations, public interest immunity and Court of Appeal matters arising out of Victoria Police’s use of a defence barrister as a police informer.

2017-2019 Worked as a Judge’s Associate to the Honourable Justice Pearce in the Supreme Court of Tasmania.

2013-2016 Women’s Legal Service, Adelaide, South Australia. Volunteer legal assistant at community legal centre assisting women with problems relating to family law, criminal law, domestic violence and migration.

2013 – 2016 Welfare Rights Centre, Adelaide, South Australia. Volunteer advocate at community legal centre aiding clients who have had their Centrelink claims cancelled or refused. The Welfare Rights Centre also ran the Housing Legal Clinic for anyone who is currently homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

2016 – Native Title Internship Program (AURORA). Worked with Native Title Barristers Vance Hughston SC and Tina Jowett who were representing Aboriginal Corporations in litigation against mining companies and state governments.
