Large cocaine supply by organised Albanian gangs – acquitted unanimously
MU, was represented by Leading in-house Counsel, Ronnie Manek and in-house junior Counsel, Jodie Mole. They were instructed by Aideen McMahon, Supervising Solicitor and Head of GT Stewart Ashford Office. MU, was the only defendant in a multi-handed, multi-million pound cocaine drugs supply network to be unanimously acquitted by a Woolwich jury after an 8 week trial. MU was accused of being the lieutenant to the Albanian Drugs Lord within the operation, working for him for over 6 months. Serious Organised Crime police officers arrested and charged over 15 co-conspirators. MU, who spent 7 months in custody awaiting his trial is now a free man. All other defendants await the imposition of lengthy custodial sentences.
