GTS Persuade Police to Take No Further Action

GT Stewart today persuaded the Metropolitan Police to take no further action against their client, MA, following an allegation of possessing indecent images of children.

A warrant was executed at the home address of MA following information that someone at the household was accessing indecent images. Several electronic devices were recovered after which a basic analysis was conducted, suggesting that a total of 29 indecent images of children were present on two of the devices.

MA, a man of good character, denied the allegation; he denied ever knowingly possessing or viewing such material. Two prepared statements were submitted to the police on MA’s behalf, requesting that a thorough forensic analysis of the devices be completed in order to ascertain the precise source of each image.

The police eventually confirmed that, having performed the analysis requested, no further action was to be taken, enabling MA to continue with his livelihood, and reputation, intact.

MA was represented by Kevin Williams at our City of London office.
