We represented a vulnerable client who had been charged with an offence of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. A drugs warrant had been executed at our client’s address and a quantity of drugs and several mobile phones were recovered. At the police station, our client informed the police that he was a victim of cuckooing. We advised our client to plead not guilty to the offence. After reviewing the case against our client, and four weeks after the Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing, the Crown Prosecution Service offered no evidence against our client and a formal not guilty verdict was recorded by the Court.

Our client was represented by Sabrina Neves, a solicitor in our Croydon Crime Team, and in Court, by Daniel Cohen of 9 Kings Bench Walk.
