Client unanimously acquitted of controlling behaviour
GTS today successfully defended S at his trial at Blackfriars Crown Court.
S was charged with controlling and coercive behaviour, common assault and two counts of criminal damage, all alleged by his former partner.
S strongly denied all allegations. During the proceedings GTS were able to uncover evidence that undermined the complainant's account and this was exhibited at the trial in support of his defence. Several defence witnesses were also called on his behalf including two who travelled to the trial from Lithuania.
After a trial lasting six days, the jury returned with unanimous verdicts of not guilty regarding all counts.
