GT Stewart represented RV who had been charged with an offence of possession of a bladed article. Following a stop and search, a Stanley knife was found in his jacket pocket. At trial RV relied upon the defence of good reason. RV gave evidence in Court and after considering the submissions that we put forward on his behalf, the Court found him not guilty of this offence. Had RV been found guilty, he would have been subject to a custodial sentence of 6 months imprisonment.
RV was represented by Sabrina Neves of our East Dulwich Office.
