GTS today secured the acquittal of RP following a trial at Wood Green Crown Court.
RP faced several counts of rape of his ex partner over the span of almost two years, dating back to 2018.
A large volume of prosecution evidence was served, which included an alleged confession by way of a text message between the parties. Successful legal submissions at trial resulted in the exclusion of the majority of the text exchanges between the parties at trial.
After considering the evidence at trial, the jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts in relation to all counts in under two hours.
