GT Stewart today secured the unanimous acquittal of or client at Oxford Crown Court.
BG, a former Police Inspector, faced trial in relation to several counts of possessing indecent images of children.
BG denied the allegations. It was his case that the possession of the images was necessary for the prevention of crime as part of his role as an expert witness, during which he trained other police forces in Europe.
Having considered all of the evidence, the jury returned verdicts of not guilty.
