Secure Accommodation Orders
In the United Kingdom, secure accommodation units are typically located in secure children's homes or secure training centres. These facilities are specially designed and equipped to provide a safe and secure environment for children and young people who have been placed there under a secure accommodation order.
Child Protection Conferences
If the local authority considers there is reasonable cause to suspect that a child is suffering or is likely to suffer significant harm, the local authority will undertake an assessment under s47 Children Act 1989.
Kinship Assessments, Viability Assessment and Connected Persons Assessments
Often if you are assessed positively the Local Authority will fund legal advice so that you can understand in more detail the possible orders, support and options available to you if the Court took the decision to place a child in your care.
