We represented LS, a young man charged with three offences of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. LS pleaded guilty to these offences and as a result of his previous convictions for the same offence, LS was subject to the statutory minimum sentence of 7 years imprisonment.
In Court, we argued that it would be unjust in all the circumstances for the statutory minimum sentence to be imposed. After considering our submissions and the evidence that we obtained in mitigation, the Court agreed with us. Our client was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment.
LS was represented Sabrina Neves, assisted by Lara Ideo, and in Court by Jodie Mole and Lucy Daniels.
