The defendant, who has previous convictions for drug trafficking offences and was facing a sentence in excess of the statutory minimum of 7 years were he convicted, was acquitted following a full trial of charges of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
The case involved extensive cell-site evidence over a lengthy period of time which required careful analysis and consideration as to how to present to the jury the alternative picture to that which the Crown were attempting to paint, which we were able to successfully do with the assistance of a forensic telecommunications expert.
