Mollie is a solicitor in the Civil Liberties / Actions Against the Police Team. She is passionate about defending peoples’ rights and holding state bodies to account.
She is experienced in a civil actions and complaints against the police and state authorities, acting/assisting in a range of cases including those involving police misuse of stop and search powers, unlawful arrest and detention, excessive force, protest rights, and assaults in prison. Mollie has represented vulnerable individuals in claims including for Breaches of the Human Rights Act 1998 and the Equality Act.
Mollie also represents bereaved families in contentious inquests, including where individuals have died following contact with the state.
Mollie also has a particular interest in the area of modern slavery and human trafficking, having previously working on a helpline for victims, and is passionate about women’s rights.
Before joining GT Stewart, Mollie trained at Bindmans LLP where she worked in the Actions Against the Police Team and on the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, representing the bereaved, survivors and residents.
