Profile

Mathilda Fell joined GT Stewart as a Paralegal in August 2025. She has a strong academic background and administrative experience, enabling her to combine client-focused insight with excellent organisational skills. She previously worked as an office administrator and receptionist at Close Brothers, managing confidential documents, coordinating complex schedules, and acting as the first point of contact for clients. This role strengthened her attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively in professional environments.

During her MA Law (Conversion) at the University of Law, Mathilda developed a particular interest in Family and Criminal Law. She explored these areas further through pro bono work at the ULLAC Family Law Clinic and volunteering with Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid, where she supported vulnerable individuals in sensitive situations involving domestic abuse and safeguarding. These roles deepened her commitment to accessible and empathetic legal support.

Mathilda has also gained insight into a range of practice areas through her time at Weightmans LLP and a mini pupillage at 2 Hare Court, building her understanding of both civil and criminal proceedings. At GT Stewart, she now supports fee earners with case preparation, drafting documents, attending client meetings, assisting with hearings, and liaising with clients and professionals.

Outside of work, Mathilda is a keen reader and attends women’s boxing classes. She enjoys reading contemporary and classical literature, and is a particular fan of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Sally Rooney. Mathilda also has a strong interest in community engagement, having previously run workshops for younger students whilst she was still in education. She is also passionate about travelling and is eager to explore South America.
