We represented KY, a young man of good character who had been charged with an offence under s.5(1)(b) of the Firearms Act 1968.
At the first appearance, we made an application to adjourn the hearing so that we could make written representations to the Crown Prosecution Service as to KY’s eligibility for a police caution.
The Court granted our application and following lengthy written representations, the Crown Prosecution Service agreed to refer the case back to the police so that KY could receive a caution, which he accepted, and as a result, retained his good character.
KY was represented by Sabrina Neves of our East Dulwich Office.
