We represented DF who was charged with two offences of possession of a bladed article. DF was the driver of a vehicle that was stopped by the police. When that vehicle was searched, a lock knife and a kitchen knife were recovered. At DF's trial, he relied upon the defence of good reason. DF and his witness gave evidence in Court and after considering the closing submissions that we put forward on DF's behalf, the Court found him not guilty of both offences. Had DF been found guilty of these offences, he would have been subject to a minimum sentence of 6 months immediate imprisonment as a result of his previous convictions.
DF was represented by Sabrina Neves of our East Dulwich Office, assisted by Niall Shiels.
