Our client today was found not guilty after trial at Kingston-Upon-Thames Crown Court.
HK, together with his co-defendants, faced charges of conspiracy to kidnap, wounding with intent, unlawful wounding and robbery. It was alleged the defendants kidnapped the complainant, whom they believed was responsible for a burglary of HK’s university accommodation, and assaulted him by stabbing.
HK denied the allegations. He accepted meeting the complainant to discuss the burglary incident, however denied plotting to kidnap and/or assault him.
Having heard all of the evidence, the jury acquitted HK of all counts save for unlawful wounding.
HK was represented by Will Russell and Kevin Williams of our Private Client Department, and by Beth O’Reilly of 25 Bedford Row Chambers at trial.
