GTS today persuaded the Crown Prosecution Service to discontinue the proceedings against AC, a teacher.
AC was due to stand trial in relation to one allegation of causing criminal damage. Had she been convicted, it could have resulted in the end of her career and future livelihood.
GTS submitted formal representations to the Crown Prosecution Service, arguing it was not in the public interest to prosecute AC when taking into account the nature of the offence against the potential consequences.
The Crown Prosecution Service accepted the representations and formally discontinued the proceedings, allowing AC to continue her teaching career.
AC was represented by Will Russell and Kevin Williams of the Private Client Department.
