We represented SU, a young man who was charged with offences of threatening another with a bladed article and affray.
Central to the prosecution’s case against SU was CCTV evidence which showed SU holding a knife and lunging towards another individual involved in the incident.
We instructed a CCTV analyst to challenge the prosecution’s evidence and following a two day trial at Woolwich Crown Court, SU was unanimously acquitted of both charges.
SU was represented in Court by Ms Houzla Rawat of Carmelite Chambers, instructed by senior solicitor and Youth Court specialist, Mel Stooks and supported by Sabrina Neves.
Mel is based at our South London Office and can be contacted on 02082996000 or via email on m.stooks@gtstewart.co.uk.
