Sacha is an experienced family law specialist, having been admitted as a solicitor in 1996. She joined Bretherton Law in 2012 and became the head of the care team in 2023. Following the firm’s merger with GT Stewart in 2024, she took on the role of head of the St Albans office. Sacha handles a wide range of child protection matters, public law proceedings, Deprivation of Liberty applications, and adoption cases. She also represents children who are made parties to private law family proceedings.
Sacha has been an accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Panel since 2000. She represents children, both through their guardian, and independently. Her extensive experience includes handling complex cases involving non-accidental injuries (including head injuries), sexual abuse, Fabricated or Induced Illness (FII), cases with concurrent criminal proceedings, drug and alcohol misuse, domestic abuse, forced marriage, and neglect. She also has significant experience working within the Family Drug and Alcohol Court and represents children in Deprivation of Liberty cases and adoption applications.
Sacha is an experienced and confident advocate who conducts most of her own advocacy.
