Job Purpose:
We are seeking a full-time highly experienced and capable Senior Administrator to support the Crime Team in our Leeds office. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, offering guidance and supervision to junior administrative staff, and managing workflows efficiently. You will act as a key point of contact for the team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and deadlines are met. With strong organisational skills and a calm, professional approach, you will provide essential support to the Crime Team, ensuring the effective management of administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily management of crime team administration functions, including in-bound call management, ensuring high standards of service.
- Provide senior-level administrative support, including diary management, meeting coordination, and document preparation for the Crime Team.
- Manage and mentor junior administrative staff, offering guidance and training as needed.
- Coordinate workflows and ensure efficient distribution of tasks within the team.
- Liaise with internal teams and external parties including senior management, clients, and suppliers.
- Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring it is handled efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation management.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as required by senior management.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior administrative role, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience overseeing junior staff.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management systems (P4W knowledge desirable but not essential).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and professional approach under pressure.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working closely with senior management and handling confidential information.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a legal or law firm environment.
- Familiarity with case management systems.
