We are seeking a permanent, full-time Legal Assistant to join the Property team in our busy St Albans office.
Your Profile:
You will preferably:
- Demonstrate a keen interest in Property law and a desire to develop your career in this area.
- Have excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Possess strong attention to detail
- Have the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Be proactive and enthusiastic about providing support to Fee Earners and the wider team.
We would like the ideal candidate to:
- Assist Fee Earners with administrative tasks, including maintaining ,updating and monitoring case files.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, contracts, and correspondence relating to property transactions.
- Submit SDLT preparing bills, completion statements
- Comply with internal AML procedures
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other third parties to facilitate the smooth progress of cases.
- Collate and organise documents for property transactions, including contracts, deeds, and completion statements.
- Conduct property-related searches and assist in due diligence processes.
- Provide general administrative support, including handling incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Ensure deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard.
- Assist Fee Earners in preparing for completions and post-completion tasks, including filing documents with HM Land Registry, replying to requisitions raised by HM Land Registry and closing files.
