We are seeking a permanent, full-time Legal Assistant to join the Property team in our busy St Albans office.

Your Profile:
You will preferably:

  1. Demonstrate a keen interest in Property law and a desire to develop your career in this area.
  2. Have excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  3. Possess strong attention to detail
  4. Have the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  5. Be proactive and enthusiastic about providing support to Fee Earners and the wider team.

We would like the ideal candidate to:

  1. Assist Fee Earners with administrative tasks, including maintaining ,updating and monitoring case files.
  2. Draft and prepare legal documents, contracts, and correspondence relating to property transactions.
  3. Submit SDLT preparing bills, completion statements
  4. Comply with internal AML procedures
  5. Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other third parties to facilitate the smooth progress of cases.
  6. Collate and organise documents for property transactions, including contracts, deeds, and completion statements.
  7. Conduct property-related searches and assist in due diligence processes.
  8. Provide general administrative support, including handling incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  9. Ensure deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard.
  10. Assist Fee Earners in preparing for completions and post-completion tasks, including filing documents with HM Land Registry, replying to requisitions raised by HM Land Registry and closing files.
