We are seeking a permanent, full-time Family & Childcare Team Secretary for our busy Oldbury office to join our expanding team.

Your Profile:

You will preferably:

  1. Have some experience working as a legal secretary or similar with a pretence for experience in family & child care law.
  2. Be able aim to demonstrate an interest in Family law
  3. Have strong organisational skills
  4. Have the ability to work under pressure
  5. Fast and accurate typing skills and spelling.
  6. Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills.

We would like the ideal candidate:

  1. To type from digital dictation, or otherwise including copy typing.
  2. To do such electronic filing as may be required from time to time.
  3. To deal with telephone calls whether incoming or outgoing from clients, Counsel, experts and other third parties.
  4. To keep appointment diaries for any Fee Earner or any Senior Member of the team.
  5. To deal with clients and others visiting the office as may be appropriate
  6. To ensure compliance with all office procedures as laid down in the Practice Manual including any variations or amendments.
  7. To deal with CCMS legal aid matters / applications.
  8. To action any fee notes and/or matters pertaining to experts’ invoices.
  9. Any other such matters as required.

The salary for this position is dependent on experience but starts at the Living Wage.
