Charged with Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition with Intent to Endanger Life – initially successful submissions were made to the CPS to accept guilty pleas to lesser straight possession charges- subsequently through the instruction of a psychologist the sentencing judge was persuaded not to impose the minimum 5 year sentence and instead found ‘exceptional circumstances’ to justify the imposition of a suspended sentence.
