I have only ever worked within the area of family law, covering a wide variety of cases representing parents, children, local authorities, grandparents and interveners.

I practised mainly within public law proceedings, but also have a good deal of experience dealing with private law matters with wide ranging and complex issues.

Victoria initially worked as a family paralegal before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2012 in a Birmingham City Centre firm with a reputation for undertaking parent work within public law proceedings. She gained her Children Panel Accreditation in 2018 and has subsequently built good links with Cafcass in Birmingham and Staffordshire where she now practices.

Throughout her career she has specialised in representing parents, children, grandparents and intervenors in care proceedings, dealing with a wide range of issues, including serious mental health issues, drug and alcohol addictions, learning difficulties and disabilities, deprivation of liberties, secure accommodation, serious physical injuries to children and sexual abuse (parental, sibling and stranger sexual abuse).

Victoria also has a well-established client base in private law proceedings again representing parents, children and grandparents in instances where there has been a breakdown in the family relationship, working tirelessly to find a solution during an emotive and daunting time.

She deals with cases involving domestic abuse (sexual, physical, verbal, controlling and coercive behaviours) and has a sympathetic yet practical approach towards such matters ensuring that the welfare of the child is at the heart of everything despite who she is representing at the time.

Victoria undertakes the majority of her own advocacy in public and private law proceedings to ensure that her clients have consistent support and representation. She is a keen advocate and has a good eye for detail and takes a personable approach to all her clients to ensure that they are comfortable, supported and fully informed at every stage of the case.

Education and Qualifications:

I obtained my law degree from Coventry University in 2005 and went on to complete by LPC at the College of Law in Birmingham.

On successful completion of this I started working as a paralegal in well established Birmingham law firm where I then went onto to qualify as a solicitor and ultimately gained Childrens Panel Accreditation.

Notable Experience or Interests Outside of Law:

I am a keen reader and an avid Disney fan!

My reading preferences go from Stephen King and other thriller novels to Harry Potter. I equally love anything Disney related.

I also achieved a black belt in kickboxing and used to enjoy competing as a younger person, now I like to watch my children undertake their various activities.
