Tracey is a Supervising Solicitor with 7 years experience in Public Law and Community Care. She advises on a range of health and social care issues and represents those wishing to challenge local authority assessments and decisions (including disabled adults, children in need, including disabled children, care leavers, carers and kinship carers).

She also has experience of dealing with issues relating to care homes, including payment of care home fees and issues with assessed service user contributions for services provided by the local authority. She advises on and has experience in challenging NHS Continuing Healthcare funding decisions and dealing with clients with autism, challenging behaviour and clients with learning difficulties.  She advises and represents carers. This can be those caring for other adults or parents or family and friends carers of disabled children. She understands the stresses and strains often felt by carers and the support that they require.

Tracey is experienced in judicially reviewing decisions of local authorities as well as submitting complaints on behalf of service users through local authorities’ complaints procedures and to the Local Government Ombudsman and Parliamentary and Health Services Ombudsman.  She also acts in Court of Protection cases in disputes regarding mental capacity, ‘best interests’ and deprivation of liberty. She acts for both relatives and patients.
