Tehreem’s areas of interest are criminal law, appeals, and human rights law. She works part time for the legal charity, APPEAL, on wrongful convictions and miscarriages of justice. She was called to the Bar in 2023.
Tehreem worked as a student attorney for Harvard Prisons Legal Assistance Project representing prisoners in parole board and disciplinary hearings in Massachusetts. She previously worked at the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court on a number of State investigations. Her work is motivated by her experience of the justice system in different jurisdictions including the Middle East and South Asia.

- Tehreem has volunteered for organisations including Amnesty International, Amicus UK, and was the Director for the award-winning prison debating scheme, Vocalise. She writes frequently on human rights issues as an author for the UK Human Rights Blog and the Oxford Human Rights Hub.
