Shelly is a criminal defence solicitor who has been working at GT Stewart since 2013. Shelly joined GT Stewart as a paralegal and qualified as a solicitor in January 2017.
Shelly litigates on serious and complex cases including attempted murder, rape, child neglect and importation of drugs among others.
Shelly represents both adults and young persons in the Magistrates Court for all types of offences. She frequently deals with complex hearings such as trials and contested applications such as Criminal Behaviour Orders. Shelly is a qualified duty solicitor as well as being police station accredited. Shelly also has experience in representing clients at recall and parole hearings and assists in cases taking action against the police and prison service.
Prior to joining GT Stewart, Shelly worked at Fisher Meredith solicitors and prior to joining the legal profession Shelly worked for 10 years at Oxleas NHS Trust in a specialised behavioural unit with adults with sever learning disabilities with severe challenging behaviour.
