On Thursday 5th February, our Family Law team in Birmingham took part in Time to Talk Day, stepping away from their desks to connect with one another and create a safe, supportive space for open conversation. The team also set up a table of treats in the office, encouraging colleagues to pause, come together, and talk.
Time to Talk Day is supported by Mind, the leading mental health charity, and highlights the importance of conversation as a powerful step towards better mental wellbeing. This year’s theme encourages us to “brave the big talk”, opening up about mental health experiences that can still feel difficult or unspoken.
While progress has been made in reducing stigma and increasing understanding, there is still more to do. Many people continue to face mental health challenges that feel hard to talk about, particularly in busy working environments. Creating time and space for these conversations really does matter.
If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available through Mind.
