We are pleased to announce that Lisa Lovell has become the Head of Prison Law at GT Stewart Solicitors.
Lisa is a Chartered Legal Executive with over six years’ experience in Prison Law, representing indeterminate sentence prisoners before the Parole Board, advising on licence recalls, and assisting offenders facing allegations of breach of prison discipline.
Since joining GT Stewart in January 2017, Lisa has demonstrated a strong commitment to ensuring all prisoners have access to justice and opportunities to progress through the prison system. She places particular emphasis on supporting vulnerable prisoners who require a heightened degree of care.
Prior to joining GT Stewart, Lisa gained extensive experience working with various national firms in Yorkshire, developing a broad understanding of the challenges within the prison system.
Lisa’s leadership and expertise in supporting vulnerable prisoners will be invaluable as she guides our Prison Law team forward. With Lisa as our new department head, our Prison Law department is well placed to continue delivering expert representation for those navigating the prison system. We’re excited to see the impact she will continue to make for our clients and the wider justice system.
