Homeless man with mental health issues successfully challenged Peterborough Council notice to evict him.

At Cambridge County Court  a decision leading to an eviction was set aside as the Council had not provided our client with lawful accommodation in the first place. The case demonstrated the Council had made a series of legal errors in assessing our client and providing him with an appropriate and lawful offer of accommodation. We suspect he is not the only victim of poor practice in this area which disproportionately affects vulnerable clients who are less able to challenge such decisions.

Dirghayu Patel of GT Stewart instructed Sarah Salmon of Filed Court Chambers.
