GT Stewart secures a unanimous acquittal following a three-day trial at Leeds Crown Court.
RS was charged with a historical sexual allegation against a child over 16 years ago. The delay in this case was a challenge due to the loss of potentially exculpatory evidence and required meticulous examination and consideration of unused digital media material.
We were able to obtain and secure videos and photographs from a family event that demonstrated the complainant’s demeanour towards our client around RS at the time of the allegation, which proved to be a key piece of defence evidence.
