On Friday 7 August 2020 the GTS Appeals team successfully renewed a previously unsuccessful application for leave to appeal the sentence of JM before the full court. JM’s sentence for being concerned with drug dealing on the dark web, when he was a university student, was reduced from 7 years 2 months to 5 years 7 months meaning that he will be due for release at the end of 2020. JM was represented by Greg Stewart who instructed Vida Simpeh at 25 Bedford Row.
