He stood trial on 3 counts of Rape, in a 7 day trial at St. Albans Crown Court. The jury unanimously acquitted NR and his co-defendant of all 3 charges after 1 hour of deliberation. NR’s case was significantly impacted by Covid delays and the backlog of Crown Court cases, which led to his trial being delayed by 4.5 years.
