We succeeded in our urgent application in this ongoing JR, getting our very vulnerable client moved into accommodation after she became ‘homeless from home’. Her violent ex-partner is due to be released imminently, and he has attacked her repeatedly at the property.
The local authority failed to respond to calls and emails, so we made an urgent application which was listed at the High Court as an emergency. Our client has now been offered suitable interim accommodation. The judge praised the work of our firm in supporting such a vulnerable client and making sure she was safe.
