On 24 June 2020 Mr Justice Griffiths granted our client SDK leave to appeal his murder conviction earlier this year at Woolwich Crown Court by a majority of 10-2. The Single Judge agreed that there was an arguable case that so called ‘gang evidence’ should not have been admitted and it resulted in an unfair trial. SDK is represented by Greg Stewart assisted by Jessica Gosling who instructed Clare Wade QC of Garden Court Chambers and David Rhodes of Doughty Street to draft the grounds of appeal.
