Role: Telephone Assistant

Salary: £24,748.50


We are a renowned multiservice law firm committed to access to justice. Our lawyers specialise in criminal defence, family law, housing, civil liberties and human rights. We are a Legal 500 and Chambers UK recommended firm who are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join our Birmingham Office.

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday from 8.30am – 5.00pm. The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic and growing hub serving all our offices and they will be responsible providing exceptional service to our clients.

Role Requirements

  • Take inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered promptly and to meet set KPIs;
  • Answer all inbound calls from prospective and existing clients in a professional manner;
  • Screen telephone calls, taking relevant and accurate messages;
  • Accurate data entry;
  • Liaise with other departments;
  • Report technical issues impacting service to the IT team;
  • Assist the wider support teams and carrying out general administrative duties when required;
  • This is an office-based role.

About You

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Polite and professional telephone manner;
  • Ability to cope with tight deadlines, prioritise tasks and work under pressure;
  • Proven experience in an administration role;
  • Ability to learn quickly;
  • Excellent typing skills;
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • Able to work on own initiative and also as part of a wider team;
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Experience in supervisory role desirable.
