Katherine is an experienced Barrister specialising in Family Law with 15 years PQE, appearing in all court forums across the South-East and London and has full rights of audience.

Katherine completed her pupillage and secured tenancy with Maidstone Chambers. During this time, she specialised predominantly in Family Law, acting on behalf of parents in public and private law proceedings, where she dealt with a broad range of cases involving serious harm and neglect including, sexual abuse, fabricated illness and non-accidental injury. She represented vulnerable clients, including those with learning difficulties and disabilities and those who required the Official Solicitor. Katherine also represented parents in disputes over childcare arrangements, issues of relocation and allegations of domestic abuse, including physical, emotional and psychological abuse as well as coercion and control, and honour-based violence.

In recent years, Katherine has worked within local authorities in Kent and London, specialising in public law proceedings, including care and adoption proceedings, and the Court’s inherent jurisdiction. She has dealt with a variety of proceedings involving FDAC, long term chronic neglect, sexual abuse, parental homicide, forced marriage, over-chastisement, relocation and jurisdictional issues, deprivation of liberty orders/secure accommodation and Wardship.
Katherine has undertaken the Vulnerable Witness training offered by Inner Temple. She is a qualified pupil supervisor and regularly provides training to solicitors and social workers, helping them with their continuing professional development.
