Michelle specialises in all areas of Family Law, initially focusing on Domestic Abuse and Private Law Children matters. During her training contract, she regularly appeared before both District Judges and Magistrates, having successfully obtained blanket rights of audience in West and North Yorkshire.
After qualifying as a Solicitor in 2019, she focused primarily on Adoption and Kinship matters while also representing birth parents in Care Proceedings. She possesses invaluable expertise in Kinship Matters and complex Adoption Breakdown cases.
More recently, she has been instructed by Local Authorities in cases involving non-accidental injuries and allegations of severe risk of harm.
Education and Qualifications:
Michelle initially undertook a Foundation Degree in Law and Legal Practice at Bradford College before completing her LLB (Hons) at Bradford Law School, graduating in 2012. She later studied the Legal Practitioners Course at the University of Manchester in 2015.
Notable experience or interests outside of Law:
Michelle was awarded the Richard Cawthron Prize by Bradford Law Society in 2019, recognising her as a “rising star” in the legal community.
Outside of work, she is an avid reader who enjoys cooking, musicals, and escape rooms.
