We are a renowned multiservice law firm committed to access to justice. Our lawyers specialise in criminal defence, family law, housing, civil liberties and human rights. We are a Legal 500 and Chambers UK recommended firm who are currently recruiting for a crime billing administrator to join our criminal billing team based at our Dartford or Leeds offices.

This is a full time position from Monday to Friday from 8.30am – 5.00pm. You will be part of a dynamic and growing team responsible for billing all criminal defence cases from our network of offices across the country. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the billing team whilst working collaboratively with the accounts team.

About the role:

  • Reconciliation and posting of contract payments
  • Reconciliation and posting of weekly BACS sheets
  • Ledger reconciliation and balance resolving
  • Sending off files for closing
  • Looking at WIP reports and progression of dormant files

You need to have:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Polite and professional telephone manner
  • Proven experience in an administration role
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • High level of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Able to work on own initiative and also as part of a wider team
  • Ability to cope with tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite
